Foul Mouthed Australian Approach

The Foul Mouthed Australian Approach

Australians have always been known to use the Foul Mouthed Approach and Dirty  Sledging when it comes to On-Field Sports. But this Border-Gavaskar trophy has been highlighted for various wrong reasons as not only the Australian Players but also the Aussie Crowd has resorted to the dirtiest of tactics, racially abusing Indian Players Jasprit Bumrah and Mohd. Siraj while he was fielding in the outfield

Though these things didn't lead them  much further as the spectators were advised to leave the field after the Indian Players complained of such behaviour. Many former and present players have strongly and sternly opposed this vicious activity of the Australian Crowd and termed it as a "Shame To the Gentleman's Game"

The Incident:

The Incident took place in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy, when India were playing their first Pink Ball Test in the Adelaide Cricket Ground. The Incident came to light when the Indian players lodged an official complaint after the crowd at the SCG racially abused pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj over the second and third day of the Sydney Test. The unruly crowd did not stop on day four of the Pink Test as Siraj along with India skipper Ajinkya Rahane had a word with umpire Paul Reiffel regarding the unruly behaviour of the crowd.

The After Effects:

The Visuals as shown by the Broadcasters and other sources clearly showed that the crowd resorted to racial Abuses and slurs towards the Indian Speed-Star
Sean Carroll, Cricket Australia's Head of Integrity and Security on Sunday said that strict action will be taken against the section of fans who hurled racial slurs at Siraj and Bumrah.
"Cricket Australia condemns in the strongest terms possible all discriminatory behaviour. If you engage in racist abuse, you are not welcome in Australian cricket," said Carroll, Cricket Australia's Head of Integrity and Security in an official release.
Former Indian Ace Middle Order Batsman has strongly spoken against such unruly behaviour of the crowd citing the well mannered Indians who always welcome them with respect whenever they tour our country.
The Incident has left Australian people with all Shame and disrespect. Former Australian Greats like Ricky Ponting and Glen McGrath have also spoken against such behaviour and advised the crowd to enjoy the game with good spirit.
